Description:
Students will explore the fundamentals of web design by creating a series of small websites in Canva. They will learn layout, visual hierarchy, typography, color, audience research, and friendly design. Students will design a mini-website weekly for the first 12 weeks and then spend two weeks on redesigning two existing websites, practice wireframing with whiteboards, and compile a digital portfolio of all web projects. Students have the option to attend the Winter Student Showcase to show their work for extra credit. A Laptop or Chromebook must be brought to every class; Canva.com access provided by HRM.

Prerequisites:
• Must know basic typing and computer skills.
