Description:
From the Pilgrims’ pursuit of religious freedom to the foundational principles rooted in faith, we dive into the rich narrative of America’s past through the lens of a Christian worldview. This survey of U. S. History course will cultivate curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the intersection of history and God’s divine plan through the use of engaging lessons, Socratic discussions, and hands-on projects

Expectations:
In addition to the two days of face-to-face classes, students are expected to work at least two more days under the supervision of the homeschool teacher. Students will read ½ - 1 chapter a week, complete comprehension questions, weekly mapwork, and take weekly quizzes or tests. In addition, students will complete two to four projects during the year. Homework should take about an hour a day for average students.

Prerequisites:
• High school reading level.
• Capable of organizing notes and thoughts from class lectures and expressing these ideas on tests and assignments.
