Year Round Course

Description:
In this one semester course, students will explore the rich and diverse history of the great state of Texas—from its earliest peoples and cultural influences to its role in the modern United States. Through stories, primary sources, and hands on activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the events, individuals, and ideas that shaped Texas.

In addition to historical study, students will learn the fundamentals of citizenship and government. They will examine how local, state, and national governments function, what it means to be an active and responsible citizen, and how civic participation influences communities.
