Description:
In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of photography, including camera basics, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. Through hands-on practice and guided instruction, students will explore how to capture high-quality images while developing an eye for detail and creativity. Students will learn how to shoot in different environments, understand how lighting affects an image, and apply basic editing techniques to enhance their photos. This class encourages experimentation, critical thinking, and artistic expression while building foundational skills that can be applied to both creative and real-world photography projects. Students will also be responsible for taking and providing photos for the yearbook class. Students are required to participate in the Student Spring Festival on April 10, 2027 to take photos and help in managing the photo booth.

• Intro to Photography

Required Textbooks:
• REQUIRED: Laptop or Tablet - Students will be provided with a free Canva
account
• DSLR or Mirrorless Camera (optional)
• Smartphone with Camera (optional)

Fees:
$30 Supply Fee
