Class Description –
This course provides an engaging overview of physics, chemistry, and earth science, giving students a strong foundation in the major branches of physical science. Throughout the year, students will explore
core scientific concepts, practice laboratory skills, and develop confidence in applying the scientific method.
Designed for 8th and 9th graders, this class prepares students for the rigor of high school science by introducing them to a full year of chemistry, physics, earth science, and scientific inquiry. Students will build the background knowledge and study habits needed for success in future upper level courses.
