Elective
God's Great Story and A Biblical World View
Grades 10-12
Teacher: Lisa Roskin
Description:
In the fall semester, “God’s Great Story” is a survey, examining the Bible as one redemptive story. It is God’s story of His creation and plan for redemption. Students will look closely at the “big story” that floats above each chapter of the Bible. This course will anchor all Bible learning, equipping students to study the 66 books of the Bible while providing a foundation to establish a Biblical worldview. In the spring semester, “Biblical Worldview” focuses on Creation, the Fall, and Redemption as the key elements to establishing one’s view of the world. Students will examine different aspects of life and culture as they prepare to understand, defend, and share their faith.
* This course covers mature themes prevalent in today’s culture (such as marriage, gender, politics, science, history, and the arts).
