Description:
In this hands-on digital design course, students will explore the art of visual storytelling through digital illustration. Using Canva, students will design and produce a fully illustrated children’s book, create a themed coloring book, and assemble a polished design portfolio. Students will learn graphic design basics, layout composition, character illustration, and digital publishing skills—turning imaginative ideas into professional-quality projects. Students have the option to attend the Student Winter Showcase to show their work for extra credit. A Laptop or Chromebook must be brought to every class; Canva.com access provided by HRM.

Prerequisites:
• Must know basic typing and computer skills.
