Class Description –
General Science I introduces students to the major fields of scientific study through a broad, engaging survey of the natural world. This course builds a strong foundation in scientific thinking while exploring astronomy, the history of science, geology, paleontology, meteorology, oceanography, general chemistry, and general physics.

Students will learn how to conduct scientific inquiry, apply the scientific method, and write clear, well organized lab reports. Hands on activities, demonstrations, and guided investigations help students develop curiosity, confidence, and essential skills for future science courses.

By the end of the year, students will understand how different scientific disciplines connect, how scientific knowledge has developed over time, and how to communicate their findings effectively.
