Super Friday Core Staff Biographies
Dawn Pruyn, Super Friday Dean
Dawn Pruyn and her family have been a part of Super Fridays since 2008. She is excited to be stepping into the position of director in the fall 2014 semester. She has a degree in mathematics and many years of experience in education and homeschooling, and is passionate about sharing her love of homeschooling with others. She and her husband Scott have been
married since 1993 and have been blessed with seven amazing children.
Heather Farrell, Financial Director
Heather joined Home Run Ministries in December, 2006. She received a B.S. in Finance from Texas A&M University as a member of the Undergraduate College of Business Fellows Program and an MBA from the College of William & Mary, where she graduated with honors. Prior to the arrival of children, she worked mainly in the public sector for companies such as Exxon Mobil in Houston and Circuit City Stores at their headquarters in Richmond, Virginia. She moved to Kingwood in 2000 and has 3 children, who have always been homeschooled, a dog, and one excellent husband.
Patty Johnson, Aide Training and Supervision
Patty has been a part of Home Run for several years as a teacher at Super Friday. She received a BS in Education from Olivet Nazarene University and is certified to teach in Texas and Illinois. After teaching in the public school system for over 12 years, she began homeschooling her 5 sons 16 years ago. In addition, Patty has taught numerous co-op classes through the years, including elementary science, biology, physical science, pre-algebra, high school English, and history. Patty is very involved in her church’s children and music programs, including being part of a team to lead chapel services at children’s camp for 10 years. She has also taught private piano lessons for over 16 years. In her 'free' time, she loves to garden, read, and spend time visiting family.
Anne Trapani, Executive Director, Home Run Ministries
Mrs. Trapani has worked with Home Run since 1998, serving on its board for seven years as well as founding the Super Friday program and serving as its director until 2005. She has a BA degree in Psychology from Muhlenberg College and is certified in Elementary Education in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Mrs. Trapani has homeschooled her four children since 1993.
