All math students who have not completed the previous full year of Home Run Ministries’ math classes, must take an admissions test for assessment and placement. If the student has his/her prior year text, sample work, and completed tests, the interview/test will be $25.00. Without the text, sample work, and completed tests, the interview/test is $50.00. A parent is required to attend the interview. Tests are by appointment only after student has been admitted/registration received.
Basic Mathematics Students will review all arithmetic concepts and skills with emphasis upon mastering and applying percents.

Pre-Algebra
A review of all arithmetic concepts, introductory algebra and related topics, and geometry concepts

Algebra 1 Students will masterthe fundamentals of algebraic problem solving for first- and second-degree equations covering a variety of applications from geometry to practical word problems.

Algebra 2
Students will master the techniques for solving and graphing any equation or relation. Covers logarithmic, exponential, and basic trigonometric relations.

Geometry (10-12)
Students will explore basic concepts of plane geometry—parallel and intersecting lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles will be integrated with algebra concepts consistent with the type of geometry problems that appear on the Scholastic Aptitude Test for college admission.

Pre-Calculus
Topics in algebra ranging from polynomial, rational, and exponential functions to conic sections; trigonometry concepts such as Law of Sines and Cosines; analytic geometry and calculus concepts such as limits, derivatives, and integrals. Important if planning to take college algebra or college pre-calculus class.

Parents will receive a book list . Home Run Ministries will supply the literature books and certain other class sets and will bill you a rental fee for them.Otherwise parents will be responsible for purchasing the books for the students.
